- Downloading IE
- Posted by Richard Fangnail on November 10th, 2005
I just started downloading IE. It just loaded ie6setup.exe which was
very small. If you run through the wizard for a basic version of IE,
how big is the whole download and how many files would be loaded?
Thanks

IE6 SP1 is part of WinXP. Why do you want to download a full version of IE,
Richard?
In WinXP, you can repair or reinstall IE
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318378). If you have a hijackware
problem, understand that repairing or reinstalling IE won't help: Windows is
infected, not the browser.
To download IE6 for a different Operating System, see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=174680.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

Donny- I ran the setup and it gave me some dialogs saying it was
updating Windows with "exceptions" - what does that mean? It also
loaded a small file and restarted the computer. It didn't match dialog
boxes on your page at all.
