After installing Visual Studio .NET and MSSQL server, I have an internet
connection problem. When I start my computer, and open my browser (IE and
Firefox both do this) to the home page, http://www.google.com/, some times
google page will load and sometimes it will not. If it does not load, I try
to go to http://news.google.com/. Most of the time, the google news page
will load. Then I can go back to the google page and it will load. If
google news will not load, then I have to re-boot.

After a few hours of connection, my connection will just stop working, and I
have to re-boot.

I have run Avast anti-virus, SpyBot and AdAware, and my computer comes up
clean. I am also running ZoneAlarm firewall, and the allowed programs list
is OK.

All this started after installing Visual Studio.NET. I had Avast and
ZoneAlarm running with no problems. I have a cable modem and a NetGear
router, but all of the other computers in my home network do not have this
problem. I tried switching cables to no avail.
