- DVD-Drive on Windows XP Professional
- Posted by Bryann AEx on November 23rd, 2007
I just installed a new DVD-RW Drive to my Windows XP Professional system. The
system automatically detected the new drive, but when I put in any type of
disc, it will attempt to read it, but then stop. The computer will not detect
the disc. (DVD or CD. Doesn't matter which.) I have a Mach-16x DVD-RW Drive
by Pacific Digital. When I go to the device manager, it says the device is
working properly so I don't know what the problem is.

Bryann AEx,
Install a copy of Power dvd 5 or 6 as i found this to work very well and as
it would have the video codecs to playback, it will automaticly ask you
choose it on auto run once disc inserted.
I do hope this helps you.
Regards
