- dynamic disks

hello, i installed a new disk on my win xp machine. and i created a dynamic
disk, by mistake. how do i turn it into a basic disk? i have search for hours
on the net with no luck. any suggestions would be of great help. especially
step-by-step instructions!

Short answer, you can't. Not without wiping it clean of all volumes and
doing a revert.
I personally am a big fan of symantecs gdisk used from a win98 boot disk.

thanks manny, that's what i'm asking...how do i wipe the volumes and do a

Under Disk Management, right click in the square that says
Disk 1
Dynamic
There should be the revert to basic selection.
