- "Email this folders files" no longer working
- Posted by krys on October 3rd, 2005
I used to email photos by resizing them and putting them in a folder and then
using the "Email this folders files" function in Windows xp. This would
automatically open AOL's write email page and attach the photos. For some
reason this no longer happens.
I have checked in internet properties that AOL is set as my email.
Can any one tell me how I can get this function to work again?

Hi,
Make sure your email client is shut down, then click start/run, type the
following and then click ok:
regsvr32 sendmail.dll
You should get a successful message, then retry.

Hi Rick
thanks for the reply. I have tried what you suggested - got the successful
message but my email account still does not open.

Hi,
Have you made any changes/updates/upgrades to your AOL installation?
Unfortunately, I know little of AOL's email client, so am ill-equipped to
advise you on it. You may want to check with AOL support as well.

Thanks for the reply Rick
I finally resolved the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling AOL and it
now seems to be working ok again. I can put all the photos I want to email in
a folder and simply click on "email this folders files" and it resizes the
photos and then immediately opens my email program. I know there are other
ways of emailing photos but this method has always worked the best for me, so
I am glad it's sorted even if it did take me all day!
Thanks again for your help.
