We have enabled Offline Files and enabled encryption of the offline file
cache and are seeing the following error in Event viewer:

Event ID: 16
Description: Encryption of the Offlin Files cache failed with error 12

The access code is invalid

No other associated errors in the event viewer.
When we add a file to offline cache, it tries to synch but comes up with
error saying access is denied
Running XP SP1 + hot fixes.
New files added to the offline cache will not synchronise

EFS is sometimes referred to as the delayed recycle bin. It's fraught
with potential problems. You might be better off using some other way
to protect data.
