- Enlarge and Print
- Posted by Dean on May 13th, 2008
I am wanting to enlarge (and print) a portion of a road map on my copy
machine, but the HP model I have won’t allow me to go bigger than 100%. Is
there any other way with XP to enlarge and print. I have Microsoft Office
2007. Thanks in advance for anticipated help.

I did and they said my model (J5750) doesn't have the capability to enlarge
over 100%.

Is your machine one of those multi function peripherals that allows you
to scan color images into the computer? If so, you should be able to
load the image into a bitmap graphic editor (like, but not limited to
Microsoft Photo Editor) and resize it before printing. I've found such
applications much more flexible than the "photo copier" functions that
came with my flat bed scanners.
Compare your paper maps to the output of services like Google Maps and
Microsoft's Live Maps too. In those you may be able to add a highlighted
driving route and/or a list of distances and street/highway names and
numbers.

Scan it to an image, crop it to the area of interest in your image
editor and then print it from Windows Picture and Fax viewer.
