Can anyone provide some assisance out there?
I have a new computer I have been on line with it, custom built since
12-19-05. I have been using my local DSL provider and until the past 5 days
everything has been operting fine. Then I started getting this pop up box at
anytime no matter where I was working. Mind you I am operating Windows XP
Professional Version 2002 and using Outlook (not Express) for my e-mail. The
box shows my server, my user name and then my password. Everything is filled
in and it gives me the option of either ok or cancel at the bottom. I have
clicked both. No matter what I choose, the next box I then get is a Outlook
Send/Receive Status Pop Up Box showing and Error. With a long message and an
error # X08004210A and Outlook has timed out waiting for a reply from my
ISP....(I think). It goes away before I can get all of it. Anyway I thought
it was associated with my DSL provider who is SBC, so I called them and they
said that it is a Microsoft issue. So I went in and made sure that I have
all updates downloaded and installed. However, it is still boinging up. Can
anyone help me?
