- Exe links stopped working in IE
- Posted by Michael on December 27th, 2005
I installed and uninstalled a download accelerator and the program broke
Internet Explorer. When I double-click an .exe link at a website, nothing
happens. It also happens when I double-click an archive link (.rar, .zip).
Seems like the download accelerator didnt return IE to its previous state.
Is there a way to fix it? Can this be fixed in regedit?

Do a system restore to a point before you install the new software.
