- File transfer wizard -- connecting computers
- Posted by T. Barry on January 19th, 2006
The File Transfer Wizard states that the computers must be connected with a
9-pin serial cable. My new computer does not have a 9-pin serial port. It
only has USB ports. My old computer has both USB ports and a 9-pin serial
port. Is there any way I can connect the computers to use the File Transfer
Wizard?

Do you not have network cards if so you can use a cross over cable between
them. If you have parallel ports I think you can use a direct parallel
cable. There might be others but networked would be the best/easiest.
