- framedyn.dll missing
- Posted by C Kreskay on May 16th, 2008
I checked out the MS website that said to change the environmental variable
to the right path, I copied the file from dllcache to the other folder, but
to no avail. explorer/taskbar/systray/desktop is dead.
thankfully all my 3rd party apps still run, I can surf and check email,
download stuff and I use directory opus as my default file explorer.
I don't want to re-install unless there's no other hope.
any ideas?
(1002 - winlogon restarts explorer) but explorer restarts only a few times
and then stops returning.

Try running System File Checker.
Insert your XP installation CD (if you have one).
Then go to Start > Run and type
sfc /scannow
Click OK.
