At least once every time I use my PC the screen freezes. The cursor moves,
but I can't close any programs. I tried alt/ctrl/del and closed every item
listed--the only one that showed was HP updates - running. Then I can't
close that window. I have to either log off or restart to unfreeze.
Sometimes when I'm playing a game in Pogo, the game freezes and if I leave it
for a minute or so and go back it's then okay. Any ideas?

How about some specifics on the PC - Physical memory, is Fast User
Switching enabled (How many profiles active), TaskMgr Performance
PF meter, # of Startups (MSConfig).

Is the PC free of Malware ?

Sounds like the PC needs some routine maintenance done on it. Such
things as driver updates, program updates, cleanup and Disk utils run.
