- Get "Open", not "Search", if click drive on "My Computer" screen
- Posted by djloekee27@gmail.com on March 10th, 2006
Recently when I double click on a hard drive in the "My Computer"
screen
a search window opens up instead of opening the hard rive and showing
the files and folders inside. If I right click on the drive icon, the
third item on the dropdown menu is "Open", which produces the desired
result. The first item in the dropdown menu is "Search."
How do i change it back to the default settings (double clicking on the
hard drive opens it instead of opening the search window).
I have already tried this

and it doesn't work.
Thanks

I have the same problem, and also, the wrong icons, and names for the
hardware are wrong.
