- HELP NO SAFE BOOT OPTION
- Posted by idle dave on January 13th, 2006
I need to safe boot so I can get zone alarm firewall to work but after
pressing F8 my only options are to boot from floppy or hard drive. My windows
is the pre installed home edition that came with the pc, the firm no longer
exists, my motherboard is an ASUS P52DA Deluxe and I've checked all its
variables in setup so how can I safe boot ? failing that any free decent
firewall ?

Run msconfig from start | run. On the boot.ini tab tic the /safeboot
option. Once in safe mode undo for a normal boot.
