How do I increase memory of cmd.exe?
Posted by John Smith on October 22nd, 2005

In Win95, I can increase the memory of cmd.exe by right-clicking
it and choosing "properties". But in WinXP, memory usage is not in
the properties.

How do I increase the memory of cmd.exe?

You can't. You can change the priority of it in Task Manager, but you can't
(and don't need to) change the amount of memory being used by cmd.exe.

CMD runs internal commands. It's memory has nothing to do with programs it starts.

Are you talking about the CMD.exe's dos window width & depth?
You can do the same thing from properties.
