- How to Force logoff for all users using a Windows XP workstation
- Posted by buddd on November 22nd, 2007
Hello,
I want to configure 1 Windows XP Pro workstation to logoff a user
after 60 minutes of inactivity.
I followed the directions in MS KB # 314999.
It actually works. Incredible!
However, it only works for the user who runs the program winexit.scr.
I don't want to have to run this program for every individual
connecting to this particular woorkstation
I would like it as a default for all users using the computer.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mark

My suggestion is not to use screensaver but scheduled tasks and system
command shutdown.exe /? (shutdown /l). Account should be set to
administrator. Task starts after 60 minutes of inactivity. IMO all of
that may be done using task scheduler.
