- How to measure CPU usage of a program with WinXPs Performance Monitor perfmon.msc ?
- Posted by Kevin Yu on December 3rd, 2007
I want to monitor the CPU load of a certain program (say myprog.exe) with WinXPs
built-In Performance Monitor perfmon.msc.
Ther performance monitor schould write out every 10 sec the CPU load of this program
(averaged over the last 10 seconds).
How do I have to setup the performance Monitor?
After playing around for a while with this tools some questions remain open:
1.) I did not found an option e.g. to switch from graphical output to text fiel log protocol
2.) How should I setup the frequency to 10 seconds?
3.) How should I tell the Performance monitor to write the averaged CPU load of myprog.exe?
4.) How can I specify the log file name ?
