- how to stop error -> Configuration Manager: The Specified device instance handle does not correspond to a present device
- Posted by Joshua Wood on November 10th, 2005
Does anyone know what this error means:
Configuration Manager: The Specified device instance handle does not
correspond to a present device
It comes up when I try to access or change the Windows Firewall
Service. But it still allows me to make the changes etc after I click
ok.
I've found very little info, except others have reported similar
things for other services, so it's a general error of some
description. I've had firewall installation issues, and this is the
last of it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Josh
