- HP System Recovery Failure
- Posted by Dan on April 1st, 2006
In the process of System Recovery on my HP Pavilion a600n, I received the
following message:
STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive (file):
\SystemRoot\System32\Config\SECURITY
or its log or alternatre.
It is corrupt, absent or not writable.
How may I either repair or bypass this failure and proceed toward System
Recovery? Are there any in-Windows commands that may repair this failure or
registry-editting related solutions?
Thank you for your time, as well as your advice.
