- I want to use a smart card reader to access my home comp

I just recently bought a keyboard with a smart card reader on it with the
intentions to use the smart card reader to access my computer. I was
wondering if anyone knew how to make that possible. All I seem to be able to
do is creat a unser account with simply a username an password combo. I would
appreciate the assistance.

You can't -- sorry.
Smart Cards are used to provide authentication and require provisioning and authentication
through a Domain Controller. Since this is a home computeer, you are NOT a Domain
participant and thus it is not possible to use a Smart Card to authenticate your logon.
