Lately, everytime I try to log-on to some sites, especially AT&T boards, IE
stops responding.

I tried re-installing it, sfc /scannow, and ran CHKDSK from My Computer, but
it still doing it.

Any suggestions?

What is the virus/malware status of the computer? Make sure it is
completely clean:
