- Images automatically copy from My Pictures to Wallpaper folder

A lot, maybe all, of the images I have stored in folders within My
Pictures have somehow copied themselves into my Wallpaper folder. How
can this happen.

What do you mean copied themselves into the wallpaper folder? Do you
mean they show up in the list for wallpaper in Display Properties |
Desktop? Any images in My Pictures and its subfolders will show up
there. To stop this move the images to a folder outside of My Pictures.

OK, I learned something new. I assumed they had copied to the Wallpaper
folder. I should have checked, sorry. They did not copy themselves.
But many still show up in the display properties.
However, I have some images in My Pictures that do not show up in
Display Properties | Desktop.

If they are of differing formats that will happen. For example, jpg and
jpegs will show up as a walpaper selection but the gif format will not, etc...

I thought of that but most of the images not showing in the properties
are jpegs.
