Internet Explorer Crashes
Posted by Bob on December 29th, 2005

I have Windows XP - SP-2 with all the latest updates and IE freezes on me at
least 5 times a day.
I have loaded the IE patch but it hasn't solved it.

Open Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer>Application.
Check there too why it's happening.

Scan your system with latest versions of Spybot,Search and
Destroy,CWShredder as well as with Adaware.Run them in Safe Mode.

Free online virus scan:-

Hi, "S" I have done all that as I have researched as much as I can before
writing in here. I also did a clean install (gut and clean) and it is still
persiting.
I have checked Event Viewer and all it says is "Application Hang"
Just as a P.S. I am experienced with computers as well as Microsoft
Operating Systems as I cut my teeth on Windows for Workgroups many moons ago.
I have run both adaware in normal and Safe Mode and I use AVG as my virus
program.

solved it just by running sfc /scannow .since running this IE has not froze
or crashed once.

lolol...I realised that I had got my own wires crossed after posting my last
reply.
Darn, painkillers can be a bugger sometimes.
