- Internet Explorer displaying as Windows Explorer Taskbar Group
- Posted by soxymegs@gmail.com on October 23rd, 2005
I've seen many instances of this issue throughout the internet, but I
can't seem to find a way to fix it.
When I have multiple Internet Explorer windows open in Windows XP home
edition, it groups them as Windows Explorer instead of Internet
Explorer.
Can someone please help?
Thanks,
Meg

I have tried these solutions and have XP with service pack 2. I'm
still experiencing the issue.

If you're added the value correctly and the problem is still seen, then I
have no further ideas. Perhaps you can export the contents of this registry
key, so that I can verify it:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Applications\IE XPLORE.EXE

Yes, but where is the "TaskbarGroupIcon" value that you added?

The entry is correctly set. Does the problem persist now?

Yes, I still have the same problem.

Running out of ideas. TaskbarGroupIcon setting is respected by all of my XP
systems here.
