- Lost keyboard shortcut keys

The keyboard works fine. The problem exists in all the applications.
In the menu for example all the underscoring for shortcut letters are
missing. For example Save but it should be shown with an underscored
S. Even the underscoring is gone when you press 'Start'
How can I get back my lines?

Start - Control Panel - Display - Appearance - Effects. If you press Alt they should show.
