MACROMEDIA FLASH PLAYER

The list of programs installed on my computer shows the Macrometer Flash
Player Is Listed but there is no indication fot the amount of disc space it
occupies (just blank) does this mean the player is not installed.

No. The diskspace indicator for programs in this list is notoriously
unreliable. Small patches will report themselves as the size of the
program to which they're attached.

There is not any listed on two my machine either and Flash is functioning. I
have a third machine that installing Flash 8 has given me grief and there is
space given in the Add and Remove Programs but Flash will not play movies.
You can visit the macromedia.com website and see if the Flash movie plays on
their homepage. You can also put your mouse over the movie when it plays and
right-click on it to see what version is installed.

In addition to the other comments, Macromedia installs Flash & Shockwave
players to \windows\system32\macromed under Win2K/XP/2003.
