Why wont windows media player play my audio cds - I do not get sound from my
speakers when I play an audio cd and use media player BUT if I use another
player such as REALone it plays OK ?

Hi,

check whether you turn off your audio output on the mediaplayer (the little
speaker on the players bottom bar)
or some filter/plugin/codec does not work properly. Check it...
