Media technology not compatible with this version of windows...

I'm dizzy from running in circles! It seems I "lost" some files from movie
maker, and when I try to download WMP--any version--I get the message that
its not compatible with "this version of windows". WinDoctor tells me MM
"cannot access" three files. I've been running XPSP2 for a long time. Tried
downloading MM2 to start again, but still getting error message. Should I
download SP2 again??

drmclien.dll, wmasf.dll, and wmidx.dll I found drmclien.dll in windows
$NtSevicePackUninstall$ and ServicePackFiles\i386, so assumed the others are
there too, but I don't know why WMP can't access them. Think you can help?
I'd be most appreciative, and thanks for responding. ~~Linda

Infact all the three mentioned dlls are located at
C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386.So it will be a good thing to run the
XPSP2 again.

Thank you. I assume that by "run" it again you mean install it again. Will
give it a try and let you know. ~~Linda

I surrender!! Can't figure out how to "run" SP2. Should I uninstall it and
download again? Apparently, can't download from sites I've been to since its
already showing as installed. Tried "run" on ServicePackFiles. ~~Linda
