- Microsoft Defender error
- Posted by Jud McCranie on April 6th, 2006
I'm trying to get Windows Defender (beta 2) to work. When I tell it
to remove the bad items, it always gives an unexpected error
0x805800c. It says to run Windows Update, but I've done that and it
still has the same problem. IS this a known error (I searched for it
and didn't find it)? How can I fix it?

Microsoft has established separate newsgroups for Windows Defender Beta2

Thanks for those links. I posted a question about my problem on the
Defender NG a couple of hours ago, and I'm waiting for a reply.
