Microsoft Installer
Posted by John on March 24th, 2006

A few weeks ago I downloaded the new Sky by broadband service, it ran fine
for a few days then stopped connecting to Sky,after a phone call to Sky it
was suggested that I re-install the software, which I attempted to do, only
this time the installer program kept telling me it could not find the MSI
file,I also got a message saying that the feature you are trying to use is on
a network resource that is not available.

I found an article about this in the Microsoft KB no.326674, I followed the
instructions, found no ISS scripts in the add/remove folder, then had a look
at the registry, I followed the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Pro ducts\799411B8369C3D11BBDA000CF495697A

I got as far as Microsoft, but I do not have INSTALLER in the list, What do
I do now?

PS this is a new PC only 5 weeks old.

TIA
