- Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error

When starting Word 2002 on my Windows XP Professional machine I receive the
following error:
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\WINWORD.EXE
abnormal program termination
This error is in a message box from the C++ Runtime Library.
I have reinstalled Office, but this didn't fix the error. I have looked in
the system32 folder and there is a version ov MSVCRT.DLL dated 8/3/2004
