- Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000
- Posted by F. Lawrence Kulchar on June 15th, 2008
I have just installed the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000...
Occasionally, as I use the mouse, "pop-up help" windows appear to aid me in
whatever I an doing (e.g. connectivity and/or magnifying window).
How can I go to the help files???
If I want to read the help documentation on my own, where is it?
Thanks,
FLKulchar

Those are possibly features of the mouse software. Pressing F1 should
offer help on any open window, but may not be as convenient/specific as
the mouse feature's directing to help.

There is a Help button at the bottom right. I thought that was what you
wanted.

At one point, the "Mouse Troubleshooter" popped up.
More precisely, I received a message:
"Your connectivity is WEAK!"
Do you want to go to the Mouse Troubleshooter to hel you fix this problem?
I did so, and a complete "HELP" file appeared for my brand new mouse...but I
do NOT know how to access this file now.
Can you help??
Thanks,
FLKulchar

Well, I am using a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000. If I go to the
Control Panel | Mouse, I get the Mouse Properties box and at the bottom
right is a Help button.

Maybe the troubleshooter in Device Manager.. Open Device Manager, "Mice
and other pointing devices", double-click the mouse, click
"Troubleshoot". But this is the Windows troubleshooter and may not be
what you're searching for.
