Migrating to new laptop
Posted by sleepless@davehamilton.net on July 4th, 2008

I am moving all of my data to a new laptop, using a usb cable and
vista software. A problem that I ran into is that I have my itunes
folder and all of my music on Drive D of my old notebook. I want to
move it to Drive C on my new notebook. There is probably a very
simple way of doing this but i can't seep to figure it out.
Thanks.

Why not burn the folders and files to a CD/DVD and then insert and copy to
you new laptop?

Here are a couple of frequently used methods:
- Link the two machines with a cross-over CAT5 cable, then
establish networking and copy the files across.
- Copy the files to a flash disk or an external USB disk.
