While working on my computer, the screen will go blank and then there well be
a "screen saver" Dell Genuis Perfection on the screen and at times this will
not leave the screen. What do I need to do to stop this fropm happening

Go to the Display applet in Control Panel and set your screensaver to
"none". Also check your power management settings.
