- motherboard driver help needed

hi i am trying to find the driver to give me some sound as i have no sound. i
have refered to the site everest to see what motherboard i'm using and it
says "motherboard name unknown". i have a a athlon 64 processor if this is
any help to u all. can someone give me a link o sort this out??
also i am having trouble validating windows, the codes i have are not being
asccepted.
any help appreciated

Your version of EVEREST may be old, try updating it and/or
Bel Arc Advisor www.belarc.com to see if you can get an
updated mobo list. Everest www.lavalys.com
If all else fails, a good light and a magnifying glass will
let you find the details printed on the mobo.
If your codes are not being accepted, perhaps your software
is not valid.

What Brand & Model # is the PC ? - or is it a home or custom built
unit ? Everest should display the information as Jim wrote. Sometimes
you can get some info about the PC by catching the BIOS post data.
On some machines it will display a string containing the ID or BIOS
version number. If the PC is a commercial unit (Dell, Gateway) it will
have a unique Identifier on a label, usually on the back panel of the
PC.

its a packard bell amd 64 processor.
the info on the back of my computer says:
mode/type:utow ori
ms whql no: ori 971161
s/n: 046450920489
product name: imedia 1516
is this any help to u?
i'm not 100% computer literate but can find the info required if u explain

Thanks for the follow-up info. You should be able to get specific
downloads and documents from the following: You'll probably need
to search using the PC's model series (Should be on the Front of the
Computer), like iExtreme....

the web site. Download and install a newer version.
