we installed a geforce mx 4000 graphics card 128.so we could play some games.

on my desktop to when i open my mail. nothing seems to fit.all the icons on
the right side of my desk top got moved over to the left by 2 inches. i right
clicked my desktop to fix resalution that made thing smaller but doesn't seem
right .things still are to large. can this be fixed?

When you install a new graphics board, you have to choose your desired
screen resolution and a refresh rate to match your monitor specs.

Did "everything it said to do" include installing the drivers? Get the
most recent drivers from Nvidia's website. After you install the
drivers you can set the resolution the way you want.

It is a problem regarding to screen resolution. If you have done this:
1. Right click a space in the desktop.
2. Click Properties.
3. Click Settings tab.
4. Under Screen resolution, you may have move the bar to another number.
So, you need to check out the resolution that your game has told you to
change. If it is 1024 by 768 pixels, you may want to change to 800 by 600
pixels. And vice versa. If those screen resolutions does not bring back your
screen to a preferable one, you can try all the resolutions and see whether
it is suitable. But remember that you should check the monitor picture above
the properties, that may help you with choosing resolutions.
