I just found out that I had a USB cable modem, with no cat5 cable hookup at
all. Is that slower then a cat 5 cable? The reason I found out that I had
this, because I wanted to install a wireless setup, so I can hook up my
laptop in the living room, or any other place in the house. So my USB cable
is still attached, and now I have an additional cat 5 cable from my PC to
the internet plug on my Linksys router. My laptop works, but it seems not
right to me, the hook up I mean. Anyone care to shed some light on my
newfound interest. Wireless communication. Honestly it scares me, but it is
a nice setup. It is a 802.11g type device......Peter
Got to run to work, many thanks for the answer, I will write more
tonight.....Peter
