- MyComputer & Win Explorer open minimized - can't restore

All of a sudden, when I try to open MyComputer or Windows Explorer, they
show up in the System Tray, but I cannot restore or maximize them. All I
can do is close.
What's happened?

I tried logging on as Administrator and, guess what?, My Computer works
just as it should. So, obviously some setting associated with my regular
ID has gotten hosed - probably something in the Registry, but I have no
idea where to look.
