Network Boot CD
Posted by dwclark@gmail.com on March 30th, 2006

I need to create a bootable CD with the following requirements:

1) Give the installer the option to choose from 4 locations (Boston,
NY, LA, Tokyo)
2) Detect the network card and load the appropriate drivers
3) Pull an IP address using DHCP
4) Map a drive to a remote share (MS network) depening on what location
was chosen in step 1
5) Launch a batch file from the share

We have different images built and stored on servers in each location
with specific requirements and software packages, however we only want
to have one boot CD. Since there is a variety of machines in all
lcoations, I want to be able to add network drivers for those not
supported by default.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A Bart PE CD can probably do this: http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/#download
