- Networking Access
- Posted by BProgrammer on October 27th, 2005
When I had Windows 2000 I knew where to go to setup a username and password
to access my computer through a network.
Example - When you go to My Network and go where my computer is and click
on my computer to access my shared files, a username and password box pops
up.
I have Windows XP Pro and been looking, trying to get it setup that way but
i cant find out where i need to go to set it up.

You'll need to set a security attribute in that particular shared network
folder (right click on the folder itself then properties/security or sharing)
and set the shared access group.
GLuck!
