- No start menu,no taskbar,no task try, no icon

Hello:
I've problem, whenever windows Xp prof.......start, it didn't show any icon
or start menu, taskbar. just blank screen. I've to press CTRL ALT DEL to go
task manager and then browse and start a program for exmaple MS word.
Can anybody help? I really appreciate.

If this happened after you installed the recent updates to your computer,
then that might be your problem. Where I work we had at least 4 computers
with missing icons and task bar. The only thing that worked for me was
logging in as administrator and restoring the system to a previous day. Wait
and see what other people have to say before you restore.
