hi my laptop plays data and music from cds but has stopped playing my games
and dvds, help anyone please. btw seasonal greatings to you all.

Try opening the Device manager by entering devmgmt.msc in the Start => Run box.

Locate the DVD drive, right-click on the entry and click Uninstall, then
restart.

XP will reload the drivers and hopefully the device will work.#
