have a Hotmail account in my Outlook 2003.

When I get an e-mail with a large attachment (3mb+) to my Hotmail account,
Outlook locks up. I don't have this problem e-mailling from the Hotmail
account with a large attachment. Nor do I have any problems with large email
attachments from any of my Outlook POP accounts.

Personally, I abhor the way Hotmail behaves in OE and don't understand
why anyone would want to have a Hotmail account. YMMV.

Doesn't Outlook 2003 require Exchange Server 2003 somewhere in the process, like
the e-mail source?

I tried and was told by a help menu that Outlook 2003 doesn't support Hotmail
without Exchange Server. (?)
I suppose new sign-ups to Hotmail no longer get POP3 access either in a cost
cutting move after multiplying the size of their mail boxes from 3MB to 250MB.

Outlook Express can run even though Outlook 2003 is installed. Try connecting to
Hotmail through Outlook Express. Turn off the Preview Pane!
