Secret maker from www.secretmaker.com it has a good popup blocker and allot
of other neet tools.

You can block a lot with a good Hosts file....costs nothing in resources or
$$. The MVP list is one of the best....see above URL.

Suggest you look through some of them and find one that fits your needs.

You are correct that a good HOSTS file can really help while surfing.
However, have you been able to solve the 'back button' problem when
using a HOSTS file.

I have access to several popup blockers on my system (SP2, Norton,
Spyware Doctor, and so forth) but have settled on the one built into the
Google toolbar. It's terrific. Haven't seen a popup ad in ages.

Wasn't aware of a problem with the back button.....mine works. Now that I
know there is a problem, mine will probably act up.
