- Power Schemes won't save
- Posted by Satellite Man on May 10th, 2006
In XP Home my power scheme problem is exactly as described in the link. Does
anyone have a simpler fix. Like an edit instead of an import export. Link is
here: http://www.windowsitpro.com/Windows/...716/47716.html
..

Thanks for the help Jon. It was spot-on! From what I see there are 7
defaults. My numbers were in the late 30's. That's how many times I insanely
attempted to make it work. Is there any way other than importing an
unmodified reg key, to take the number back to the next logical
number...which I guess is 7. I deleted all of them and was left with the
defaults and then recreated my custom schemes and names and the numbering
convention picked up at the next logical number as if the other schemes
weren't deleted.
Oh well, it works. Thanks again!
