- printer sharing issue

Hi all. I have share folders and printers on my pc. When my colleague also
using windows xp try to access my computer name via windows network, it says
the maximum connections to a client has exceeded. How can i solve this? Thks
in advance.

You really haven't provided enough information to get focused
troubleshooting. What version of XP is being run on all computers? How
many computers in your network? From your description of the error
message, I'd guess that you have run into the incoming concurrent
connections limitation. Here are details on that:

XP
concurrent connections:
10 for XP Pro/Tablet/MCE
5 for XP Home
49 for SBS 2000
74 for SBS 2003
Unlimited for full Server O/Ses
If this doesn't apply to your situation, then post back with a better
description of your setup, including operating systems with versions
and Service Pack levels.

Windows XP Home only allows 5 shared access to devices. Pro allows 10 max.
If you need more, look at getting a "true" server.
