printer tool box, where art thou?

XP SP2 on a HP Pavilion with HP inkjet 720c

after installing SP2 a few months ago and not reinstalling the printer
software, I can not find a way to align my ink cartridge or see the ink
levels as before. the printer is no longer listed under "all programs" and is
not on the task bar.

to try fixing this, I installed the HP printer software and the printer
showed up under "all programs" but I got error messages, so I uninstalled the
program and went to the HP support site

HP said to use the software inside of XP. after following all those steps I
now have 2 printer icons under "control panel" "printers and faxes" (was one)
but I still can not find the tool box or the program nor do I get an
alignment message after installing new ink.

Please help, I found another person on another site who had the same
question and never received an answer and I found nothing on thie site, todd

Hi,

Right click a printer icon, choose properties. What you are seeking should
be on the services tab.
