problem: dbl clicking windows explorer folder opens new folder
Posted by Rickyroma on February 12th, 2008

Hi all. Here is the problem with windows explorer XP Pro(I have all the
latest updates):
when I do _not_ have my LHS pane showing file folders, double clicking a
folder in the RHS pane opens the folder in the same explorer window. That is
normal and good. But when I _do_ have my folders visible in the LHS pane,
double clicking a folder in the RHS pane opens that folder in a _new_
explorer window. Please help correct this annoying problem.

Here's what I already tried/verified:
1. Folder options is set to open each folder in the same window
2. my reg key: "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Shell\Default" is set to "none"

Thanks!!!
