What does your Device Manager display for the Processor ?
Does it identify it as Intel Centrino 760 ?

Your FSB (front side bus) speed has likely been decreased. This can occur in
cases when the computer is powered off during the initial part of the boot
sequence, the part where the bios is in control of the PC. Example: if your
processor is a 133 mhz CPU, but the speed has been reduced to 100 mhz (for
safety) the CPU speed will drop accordingly. My son's 1.2 ghz processor will
run at 900 mhz if the FSB speed is reduced to 100 from 133 mhz.

Look to your computer specs and find out what the CPU speed is "supposed to
be (100, 133, 266, 400 mhz etc). Then look in the bios to see what the
actual speed is.

A built in power saving feature feature.. it uses as much as is required..
you might want to contact the manufacturer for info on how to force it to
operate at full whack..
