- Question about popup advertising
- Posted by fl on March 10th, 2006
Hi,
Yesterday, I downloaded and installed a trial version "undelete"
software. Today when I connect to internet, I find some advertising
popup, such as the following one.
http://www.winantiviruspro.com/?aid=mgwav1&lid=s1-5
How can I remove this problem?
Or, which groupe can present me more information about virus, popup?
Thank you

How about getting rid of the software that you seem to be linking to the
adverts. That seems to be the price you pay rather than $£ for use of the
software- several get rid of the ads when you pay for the software. Check
their web site.

You apparently have some version of Winfixer (Winantivirus,
Winantispyware, etc.) and probably other malware. Go through these
removal steps systematically:

Read through the whole section so you understand all the preparatory
work you need to do. If this sounds too complicated (and there is no
shame in admitting this), take the machine to a professional computer
repair shop (not your local version of BigStoreUSA).
